is the merging of a love for architecture, innovative passive design principles, and the natural environment. Based on the North Coast of KwaZulu Natal, Parc is a small practice with a passion for partnering with our clients to craft comfortable and engaging spaces that are inspired by the tactility, practicality, and beauty, of our South African landscape.
So what makes Parc. different? Well, it’s this guy on the right! Phil is the resident Professional Architect – he is the director, designer and draughtsman all wrapped up in one delightfully dapper moustache-sporting package. After completing his Masters in Architecture at the University of KwaZulu Natal, Phil chose not to follow the path less traveled but rather pave the way for himself, guided by the mentorship and knowledge he’d acquired whilst working for some of Durban’s finest firms. Some years later it is his dedication to working one-on-one with each client in order to fully realise and develop their dream while paying specific attention to detail that has set the practice apart.
The aim for the practice is to create spaces and places that encourage and nurture humanity’s desire for connection to each other and to our natural environment. The vision is to work with the right partners in order to develop and actualise these ideals which then in turn, fulfills Parc’s personal Phil’s-osophy: to see architecture serve as a mutually symbiotic meeting place for the built and natural environments to come together.
But how can they preach about connection when it’s just one guy? Fret not. Parc is currently putting plans in place to appropriately expand when the time is right.
