Steyn City Parkland Residence, Jhb

Although technically our second completed project, this is the dream project that was entrusted to us and what a dream it was! This home stands as testament to our belief in a relationally-based practice as it now represents the first of 8 projects with the same client and team that are all now in various stages of development. 

The home boasts luxury with its fully automated lighting, ventilation and screening as well as its water collection and distribution system making it a delightful blend of hi-tech eco-conscious design. Although the home stands rigid and powerful in its modernist form, it remains at the mercy of its terrain as it steps down and around the natural elements thus creating a beautiful front courtyard at its entrance and a series of entertainment levels that spill out from the home towards the pristine fairway of the estate golf course.   

The accommodation schedules curates a sort of sanctuary for families of all types by achieving a balance of spaces to come together, such as the open plan living areas that spill outwards, and places to retreat like the state of the art cinema and fully serviced upstairs pajama lounge.
