Steyn City Parkland Residence, Jhb

Based on the success of Steyn City House 1, our client saw the value in relationships between the construction team as well as the estate and as a result chose to roll out a series of spec homes of which, this is the first.  

Similarly to the first home, we sought to achieve a simplistic, open-plan modern home, however, this time with a more gentle approach. This was achieved by introducing some curved edges and features that were informed by the lay of the land, views and weather patterns in order to passively control the lighting, cooling and ventilation of the home.

The simple cantilevers, exposed concrete, rugged timber elements, and outside-in approach to the design merged with its modernitic form-making make the home a well balance conversation of semi-biophilic modernism.
